Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Senior Photographer ~ Quinn

This senior session was fun and sad at the same time.  My daughter, Quinn, is the youngest of five children.  She is the last to get out of school–at this point anyhow.  One of the others may decide to go back at any time.  Quinn got a full scholarship to Santa Clara University to play basketball there.  She broke some records and made it to the “Big Dance” (NCAA Division I Playoffs) twice.  After her college days she decided not to go pro, instead she decided to get another degree, which she did at Seattle Pacific University.  She still was not happy with her career choice of becoming a Dietitian–so she went to the University of Washington to pick-up necessary undergraduate prerequisites to get into a Physical Therapy program.  Quinn applied to Nova Southeastern University because a brother and sister and a brother-in-law had all graduated from there.  She knew the area and had met a couple of staff members when visiting her siblings during her vacations.  It was just a natural fit for her.

These images were shot in bright sun later in the afternoon.

Quinn begins Senior year at the end of May 2011.  She has one classroom for all her classes at the end of this long walkway.

A reflective pond between walkways.

This is a reflection is a window–I got a picture of the two of us together.

The clock has become a traditional photograph in our family.

Most of the images are pretty much straight out of the camera –with minor adjustments.  I purposely over exposed several of the images due to the brightness of the backgrounds of the image.

It is a fun day.  Lots of memories on this campus–

Thanks for stopping by.

About ~ ~ joanne.thomas.photographer~~

I am retired, starting a new career. I love shooting portraits. People are so fun and interesting--I try to bring out there personalities and capture them in images. Children are especially interesting little people, who love to tell you all they know and are so uninhibited. I enjoy shooting weddings to capture all the details and emotions of the day. Between photo sessions I keep shooting --to learn, to experiment--to create art. The industry is ever evolving and I want to give my clients the most exciting and lasting images, full of their love of life expressing their personality.
