Family Photographer, Auburn, Washington ~ Trevor and Sara

The family of the photographer is always the last to get their portraits done.  Finally, Sara and Trevor stepped in front of the camera with their two lovely children.  The skies have been filled with rain for weeks on end and this day was no exception, except for just the tiniest sun break in the afternoon.  It was bright sunshine but overcast sunlight and that is good–but it was still bright. We tramped through the wet grass out to the trees and bushes just beginning to come to life again after a long winter.  It is appropriately so, as this was Easter Sunday when the resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated after just three days in the grave.

Trevor and Alexandria help me out with posing so I can set up the lighting. Still didn't get it just right--But with practice I will get it right--soon.

Sara and Trevor--my back lighting is a little hot--but at least it is there--never had it before--it separated the subject from the background.

How can I miss with such a cute couple--I know, I am prejudiced--the background is a piece of fleece from JoAnn Fabrics.I asked Sara and Trevor to share secrets--funny secrets. I wanted natural responses and laughter.

Love the spontaneity. This is the real Trevor and Sara--fun and full of laughter. Our rush outside during the mini sun break--

Alexandria and Trenton ~About this time Alex was done with posing and beginning to get silly--you can always tell when a child is done.

About this time Alex was done with posing and beginning to get silly---you can always tell when a child is done.

Alex gets silly and Trenton is just trying to fully wake up from a nap.

One more, then Alex runs to play.

Trenton spots something off in the distance that has him worried~ it was our dog kennel. Granted it looks a little like a cage to a child. No dogs in it at the time.

Trenton heads back to mom and dad for comfort--an a quick portrait.Ah--alone at last.OMGosh mom--close your eyes!A few more of Trevor and Sara and a quick run to the house--to get out of the rain.

Ah--alone at last.

We have planned on doing a family session for Trevor and Sara for a long time–finally got around to it.  I think I better  get the rest of the family sessions done –soon–too.  Families really should come first.

Thanks for stopping by–please leave a comment so I know you visited.

About ~ ~ joanne.thomas.photographer~~

I am retired, starting a new career. I love shooting portraits. People are so fun and interesting--I try to bring out there personalities and capture them in images. Children are especially interesting little people, who love to tell you all they know and are so uninhibited. I enjoy shooting weddings to capture all the details and emotions of the day. Between photo sessions I keep shooting --to learn, to experiment--to create art. The industry is ever evolving and I want to give my clients the most exciting and lasting images, full of their love of life expressing their personality.
