Auburn/Kent Newborn Photographer ~ Trinity

Nothing is more exciting that a newborn session.  The tiny little one so new to this world and so pliable in our hands as long as he/she is sleeping.  I like to take them between three and ten days old–when they can get into that deep sleep and are pliable.

There are so many options for poses–it can take hours for a session just for the safety and the comfort of the mom.  The baby’s needs come first and I like to give the mom and opportunity to rest while I work with her little one.

Processing newborn images is a little tricky in that their skin has so many different color patterns going on with a touch of acne here and scaly skin there and oh my–takes time to learn to process to get the best image.

Something simple to let the baby get comfortable and pliable.I don’t have just the right “bean bag” or “nest” to post the baby with–so I made do with what I have.

Just getting comfortable.

So comfortable now-milk hat added–I love this one with the softer skin tones.

I have always love the baby which their arms folded contentedly under their chins.  So cute.

If was a fun day and yet–a very tiring day –with the light changing  a lot during my shooting time.  I shot with a southern window–now a great idea–but some nice light showed up.

Trinity was a joy to photograph and I just can’t wait to do the next newborn session.

So much work to do to set up and price schedule, shooting schedule and books, insurance, contracts—–on and on.

Thanks for stopping by.

About ~ ~ joanne.thomas.photographer~~

I am retired, starting a new career. I love shooting portraits. People are so fun and interesting--I try to bring out there personalities and capture them in images. Children are especially interesting little people, who love to tell you all they know and are so uninhibited. I enjoy shooting weddings to capture all the details and emotions of the day. Between photo sessions I keep shooting --to learn, to experiment--to create art. The industry is ever evolving and I want to give my clients the most exciting and lasting images, full of their love of life expressing their personality.
