a long, long time ago. . . .

Days 3 and 4 and I almost blew the numbering already.  So glad for my calendars.  I have no assignment to go by so–I have to challenge myself to be creative with out the prompt.  Day 3 doubled for a post in another group–52 weeks in song.  We are doing the lyrics to American Pie.  I don’t even know the song–someone was kind enough to list the lyrics in lines 1-52.  I can see they will be challenging as time goes on.  I must be nuts doing two groups at once–but oh well–I like being busy and shooting and shooting.

Day 3 was titled ..”a long, long time ago”.  I happened to have an old hour-glass around and then applied a grunge texture over the top of the image to age it.  Simple and fun.

Day 4–tried to think of something that had something to do with resolutions–I didn’t really make any other than not to make any resolutions.  I used two pieces of white poster board, two ghetto lights and my speed flash to get the image.  I still had shadows and had to Photoshop them out.  I focused on the glass with a shallow depth of field so the can would be blurred in the background–but still readable.

361 more to go–thanks for stopping by.

About ~ ~ joanne.thomas.photographer~~

I am retired, starting a new career. I love shooting portraits. People are so fun and interesting--I try to bring out there personalities and capture them in images. Children are especially interesting little people, who love to tell you all they know and are so uninhibited. I enjoy shooting weddings to capture all the details and emotions of the day. Between photo sessions I keep shooting --to learn, to experiment--to create art. The industry is ever evolving and I want to give my clients the most exciting and lasting images, full of their love of life expressing their personality.
