Bellevue Botanical Gardens~ Seattle Clickin Mom’s Meetup

If  you want to network and meet photographers in your area to go on outings with and have lunch with to gain new knowledge and/or share what you know–join a group.  The photographers I met this day were young, some with young children in tow, and energetic.  We had a great time shooting the foliage and whatever flowers might be in bloom this time of year and just talked–about business, life, children, –anything that suited our fancy.

Several of us had lunch and talked some more about cameras, lenses, prices, schedules, post processing and how good or –umm ok the food was.  It was a beautiful day and I have beautiful new friends. I am posting quite a few of the images taken that day along with some of the kidlets that ventured out with us.

I have no idea what these pods belong to or what kind of flower they produce.  I will have to go back in the Springtime to see.

These little “ears” look and feel just like bunny ears.  (Thanks Kara)

An ashtray filled with water.  The brilliant color comes from the leaves beneath the water. I was fascinated with the reflection of the trees in it.  Below is an image of the leaves beneath the water.I have a new lens–a 70-200mm f/2.8 and I tried it out.  Amazing!!This little cutie is the daughter of one of our photographers.  Shot with my new lens.Always love sun flares and sun stars.  Did not turn out as brilliant as I would have liked–but fun to try.  I love the light illuminating the leaves.

This little nubbin nose is the perfect model or our photography group.  She so patiently allowed us to lay her on this rock and have fun shooting image after image.  It was a warm day.

It is always fun to go places, meet new people and shoot new images of things you have not seen before or even a new angle of things you have.  I loved this day–it was fun and relaxing.  Thank you Seattle Clickin Moms for a terrific time.

Thanks for stopping by.

About ~ ~ joanne.thomas.photographer~~

I am retired, starting a new career. I love shooting portraits. People are so fun and interesting--I try to bring out there personalities and capture them in images. Children are especially interesting little people, who love to tell you all they know and are so uninhibited. I enjoy shooting weddings to capture all the details and emotions of the day. Between photo sessions I keep shooting --to learn, to experiment--to create art. The industry is ever evolving and I want to give my clients the most exciting and lasting images, full of their love of life expressing their personality.
