Spiders, Webs and Mistakes. . .

Oh the web we weave. . . . .

I cleaned some of the weeds out of our yard and clipped off the brown hydrangea blossoms.  In doing so I destroyed the somewhat ragged web of a nice fat spider.  I don’t like spiders and I am not an animal rights person–I eat hamburger, chicken and other animal products.  I however appreciated that the spider eats bugs and keeps the bug population down so I told him I was sorry about the web–but he really could do a better job making a new one.  Sure enough, I checked it out the next morning and there was a beautiful, bigger  new web right where the old one had been.  This morning I checked out the web maker again and discovered that our pole lamp had been decorated for October.  I think the spider-man has a friend as I saw a much smaller spider hunkering under the sign.  (There are three webs and various asunder other webbing around)

I discovered that I have to be very careful when adding new photos that they are numbered or named uniquely.  I had duplicate photos in posts where then didn’t belong–of course I thought the website had gone bad–then I discovered it was all me….I had the same sequencing for several sets of photos–so every time I upload a new set–they replaced what I had.  I spent hours renaming and uploading and inserting new photos.  Now I know.  Such is the joy of learning.

Thank you for stopping by!

About ~ ~ joanne.thomas.photographer~~

I am retired, starting a new career. I love shooting portraits. People are so fun and interesting--I try to bring out there personalities and capture them in images. Children are especially interesting little people, who love to tell you all they know and are so uninhibited. I enjoy shooting weddings to capture all the details and emotions of the day. Between photo sessions I keep shooting --to learn, to experiment--to create art. The industry is ever evolving and I want to give my clients the most exciting and lasting images, full of their love of life expressing their personality.

  1. Beautiful photograph. I’m also impressed by the artistry exhibited by your local spiders. Would you let them know how lovely I think their work is? 🙂
